Selling is a complicated mission that requires patience, dynamism, and another series of important skills. But, does this mean that you need some kind of gift to be a successful salesperson? Quite the opposite! The characteristics we talk about can (and should) be developed over time, and even those who don’t naturally possess some of these qualities can do well. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid or live solely on recommendations to attract new customers. The secret is to develop the right qualities.

1. Follow a process…

One of the first mistakes is to think that a good salesperson is someone who has the ability to convince anyone at any time. The truth is that no sale happens by chance, there is always a process that needs to be followed, at least when we are talking about someone who has a regular performance, without major fluctuations. By having a well-defined sales process and following it, you will be able to anticipate customer behavior and act so that they remain interested in purchasing. This process must take into account the entire customer journey, from initial interest to closing the deal.

2. Be a good planner …

It’s very likely that your ideal work scenario doesn’t involve negotiating with just one client at a time, right? Therefore, you need to acquire the ability to plan well. Lack of planning…
